A large tree fell across Main St. /Hwy 81 Friday, April 28th, at about 7 pm, and thankfully it did not hit anyone. The large tree has been dead and leaning for a while, and over the past several years, large branches have fallen off during storms. However, after last week’s rain, the tree finally uprooted and fell across the road. Southbound Main Street was closed for about 30 minutes while the Hennessey Street Department moved it off the road. The Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Department assisted Hennessey Police to help with traffic control.
