Saturday, October 3, was a big day in Hennessey, with a doubleheader of hometown fun.
Hundreds of Hennessey High School graduates returned to their old stomping grounds, spending the day reminiscing about growing up in a small town, and probably telling a few stories that have gotten better with age.
Some took a bus tour around town, others attended the Hennessey Wine Festival, and eventually everyone gathered at Jimmy and Beth Berkenbile’s Gathering Place event space for the annual HHS All-Class Reunion.
Danny Bossa got up bright and early to cook all the meat, while class members brought in the rest of the meal. After dinner, each class gathered for group photos. Those photos can be found in an earlier post on the All About Hennessey Facebook page.
The evening was filled with old stories, catching up with longtime friends and plenty of laughs. Judging by some of the conversations, a few high school stories may still be subject to the statute of limitations.
