HENNESSEY, Okla. — Friends, family, colleagues, and former students gathered on May 14, 2026, to celebrate the retirements of longtime Hennessey Elementary first-grade teachers Kim Simunek and Cindy Woods.
The special event honored both educators for their years of dedicated service, commitment to education, and lasting impact on generations of students. Throughout their careers, Simunek and Woods helped guide young learners through some of their earliest school experiences, providing not only academic instruction but also encouragement, compassion, and support.
Those attending the celebration shared memories and expressed appreciation for the countless lives the two teachers have touched over the years. Their dedication to helping students learn and grow has left a lasting legacy within the Hennessey school community.
