The Hennessey school board voted to approve changes to the High School handbook that included some changes to the dress code as well as cell phone use in classrooms.ย ย Tina Gilliland, a parent, addressed the need for some students to have a cell phone in the classroom for medical issues.ย ย Gilliland told the board that diabetic students use their phones to monitor their levels.ย ย High School Principal Joshua Faulkner told the board each student will have their phone during class changes but will be required to put it in a designated place in each classroom when they enter.ย ย He mentioned that this would be enforced High School wide.ย ย The only exceptions will be for medical reasons.ย ย
