A box truck transporting mail to Cherokee and Alva crashed and overturned, coming to rest on its roof in the median around 4 am on Friday, June 21st. The accident occurred near the junction of Hwy 81 and 690 Rd. just north of Dover, resulting in the closure of the northbound lane for several hours as emergency response teams cleared the area. The driver sustained minor injuries and was examined by LifeEMS. The mail was transferred to another vehicle, and its journey resumed later that day. The incident was managed by Dover Fire, Hennessey PD, OHP, LifeEMS, and the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office. Photo credit: AAH Jack Quirk.
