The Lady Eagles matched up against the Meeker Bulldogs Saturday night, February 17th, for their district championship. Kadee Meeker had the first quarter of her life on her birthday, rattling off SIX threes and tacking on 22 points in 9 minutes of basketball. She would be held scoreless for the rest of the game though, but she did more than her part in assisting their District Championship. Emma Copeland was a big part in propelling the Eagles across the finish line, with well over double-digit points for the game. Though Meeker stepped up their defense and provided more aggression in the 2nd half. It would prove to be meaningless as the Lady Eagles would walk away champions, winning 64-43, and play next Thursday for their first regional matchup. Story by Tayor Ladwig, Photos by Jude Hestand
