Reese Meek, a 6th grade choir student, achieved a remarkable feat by being chosen as a member of the 2024 Children’s All State Choir. This prestigious choir consists of students from grades 4th to 8th, and Reese’s talent was recognized as she secured one of only 25 spots as a Soprano in the 137-member choir.
To prepare for their performance, the selected students, including Reese, learned five additional songs alongside three songs from Circle the State. They then had the opportunity to rehearse as a group with the choir’s clinician at the Doubletree in downtown Tulsa, OK for three days leading up to their highly anticipated concert on Friday.
Fred Meads, director of the Los Angeles Children’s Choir, had the honor of leading the choir this year, including Reese. Reese is currently studying under the guidance of Mrs. Faulkner, and her parents, Keith and Christy Meek, couldn’t be prouder of her impressive achievements.
