3000 EGGS IN 30 SECONDS!

Several hundred children and their families lined up for a chance at 3000 colorful eggs filled with candy and prizes.  This is the second year the Town of Hennessey has managed this fun event in Bullfoot Park.  Shelley Burch with the town said, “This year we added some fun by including prizes to some of the eggs donated by the Lions Club, businesses, and individuals.” Prizes included, bicycles, fishing poles, baskets of treats, and other gifts.

At noon the Hennessey police sounded the siren on a police car signaling the start of the hunt. It only took about 30 seconds for all of the eggs to be gathered up.  The Easter bunny along with a miniature horse with bunny ears was on hand for photos.

If you would like to recycle your eggs please bring them to the Town Hall so they can be used again next year.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt was run by the Hennessey Lioness Club for many years and was turned over to the town 2 years ago.
