Some plumbers get worried when it gets cold and water starts spraying, but Not Hennessey plumber Boyd Poteet. The annual ice sculpture at Taggart’s Garden Center started about 40 years ago in Boyd Poteet’s front yard. The problem was Boyd lives out in the country and very few people got to see it. Boyd said, “I moved it to the Garden Center after my cousin Tim Taggart built there so more people could enjoy it.” Last week’s cold front made the perfect conditions for this year’s display which is about 25 feet tall. Add an amazing sunset on Christmas evening and you get art.
