For at least the past 30 years, The Grand National Quail Club would bring hunters to the Hennessey area in November as one of several hunting spots in NW Oklahoma. The hunt in this area was first established and hosted by the Bollenbach family. About 10 years ago the Bollenbach’s turned it over to Perry Cline, and his family has been the host of the area host ever since.
This week, 16 converged on Hennessey and hunted on property owned by the Clines, Grimes, and Hajek’s. Each year the hunters gather at Perry and Stacy Clines for lunch cooked by Brad Beard of Danny Brads Meat Shack.
A big part of the annual hunt is including celebrities. This year singer, guitarist, and actor Frank Stallone, brother of Sylvester Stallone, and American country music singer, and songwriter Aaron Tippin joined the Hennessey hunt.
