The crews included: The Tie Dye Boat, Turd Floater, USAIN Boat, SS Titanic, HMS Whatso, 911, Kings of Lighting and Top Gun. The winners were: 1st Place – MHS Whatso, 2nd Place – Top Gun and The Titanic award went to the Tie Dye Boat for the fastest sinker. This event was made possible by the Hennessey Lions Club.
About one hundred people circled the Hennessey Aquatic Center Monday evening to cheer on their favorite boat crew. The rules were the boat had to be built from nothing but cardboard and duct tape. It had to carry a 2 person crew one lap back and forth across the pool, then change crew and do it again. There were 8 teams that participated in the event each with a unique design and name.
