Hennessey Firefighters responded to a fast-moving fire at Bullfoot Park this afternoon. (Wednesday, March 2nd) Town employee Mike Jones said, “I came over here to spray weeds and there was a small fire north of the pond.” Mike used his week sprayer to try to put it out but it got away. Mike said, “When I looked up it was heading north fast, so I called the fire department.” Hennessey Firefighters got it stopped before it jumped the road near the homes on the north side of the park. The fire appeared to have started near the rocks at the north side of the pond. None of the playground equipment in the park was damaged.
