The more than $12 million project includes resurface existing highway lanes and add shoulders between N. Mitchell Rd. in Hennessey, and County Rd. N 2940 in Kingfisher County. This includes, culverts and the bridge over Little Turkey Creek on the east edge of Hennessey.

ODOT said, “Work is expected to take 1.5 years to complete, weather permitting, and is expected to finish in winter 2022.  Paving work is expected to resume in about two months when temperatures are consistently warmer, weather permitting.”  Cummings Construction, from Enid has setup an asphalt plant in Hennessey, and is ready to go when the job is ready for paving.
