GOVERNOR STITT VISITS HENNESSEY SCHOOLS

Governor Kevin Stitt, Senator Chuck Hall and Mike Dobrinski toured Hennessey Schools today, Friday, August 7th. They were taken on a tour lead by Dr. Mike Woods through Hennessey’s state of the art Eagle Event Center and the elementary school to see the sensor software for taking temperatures as you come in as well as the security measures in place. Following the tour, our state politicians were shown our virtual classroom setup. Dr. Woods connected with some of our classrooms where he let the students ask questions to Governor Stitt. One child asked “What is it like to be governor?” Stitt answered that it was good and then asked if any of the students planned to run for governor one day. This new virtual learning system allows all students whether in the classroom, or watching remotely to interact. It also records the school session which can then be viewed at a later time. All of the state leaders were very impressed with our schools’ system in place and our new Hennessey Eagle Event Center. Photos by Angie Bruner.
