Things are a little slow at the new Kingfisher County District 2 construction site while bids are in the works, so Poncho, the county’s newest security guy, is using the downtime to train his skeleton crew.
Unfortunately, there appears to be a problem.
The official training materials have mysteriously disappeared and were replaced with board games and a deck of cards. Hennessey Police has reportedly opened an investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, another questionable development has surfaced. Someone apparently requisitioned an air conditioner for the crew. Sources tell us climate control was NOT included in Poncho’s budget.
Officials are now trying to determine who authorized the purchase and, more importantly, why a skeleton crew needs air conditioning in the first place.
Poncho has declined to comment.
