Meet the people behind Community State Bank- Hennessey.
Give Tina Detrick a problem to solve, a piece of furniture that needs new life, or better yet, a clean desk, and you’ve probably made her day.
Tina is a Consumer Loan Officer and Real Estate Coordinator at Community State Bank’s Hennessey branch, but her history with CSB actually started in Dover a little over nearly 20 years ago.
A business management graduate from Oklahoma State University, Tina spent years choosing work that fit around what mattered most at the time: raising her girls. In 2006, the timing was right for something steady, and she joined CSB in Dover. A move took her away for about a couple of years, but in 2009 she returned to the Hennessey branch and has been there ever since.
Today, a big part of Tina’s job is helping customers work through decisions that can have a lasting impact on their lives. And she likes that no two situations are exactly alike.
For Tina, it’s about getting to know the person sitting across from her, understanding what they need right now and helping them find a solution that also makes sense down the road. She wants customers to feel safe asking questions and confident that they’re working toward their goals together.
And when we asked what part of the job she looks forward to most?
“A clean desk!” she chuckled.
With the amount of paperwork that comes with loans and real estate, we’ll let her have that one.
Away from the bank, Tina’s favorite people keep her plenty busy. She and Wade have two daughters, a son-in-law and two grandsons. You’re most likely to find her spending time with those grandbabies or watching her girls coach their teams. She says just listening to her grandsons talk, coo, babble and come up with their own pronunciations is usually enough to make her laugh.
She also has a creative side. Tina loves finding old furniture on Marketplace and giving it another chance. She enjoys crafting and loves taking something old and making it new again.
And maybe that creative side of Tina fits her career more than you’d think. She likes looking at what’s in front of her, figuring out what can be done and working toward something better.
It also fits some of the best advice she’s ever received:
“Never stop learning. Always be a student.”
After years in banking, Tina still takes that seriously, continuing her education in compliance and real estate and always finding something new to learn.
