Hennessey Voter Guide
Kingfisher County, Oklahoma
Primary Elections
Oklahoma voters will participate in primary races for state and local offices on June 16. These are closed primaries, meaning each voter may only cast a ballot in the primary for the party in which they are currently registered.
Voters are encouraged to verify their registration information and review sample ballots before Election Day.
Emergency Medical Services District
Voters living within the Hennessey School District will decide whether to create a dedicated EMS district funded through a 3-mill property tax levy.
If approved, the district would provide dedicated funding for ambulance and emergency medical services throughout the school district. Supporters say the goal is to help stabilize ambulance coverage for both town and rural residents.
Minimum Wage Increase
Oklahoma voters statewide will decide State Question 832. The measure would amend the Oklahoma Minimum Wage Act and gradually raise the state minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2029. Beginning in 2030, future increases would be tied to cost-of-living changes.
Proposed wage schedule
| Year | Minimum Wage | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Current | $7.25 per hour | – |
| 2025 | $9.00 per hour | +$1.75 |
