Hennessey students took part in two school traditions on Oct. 30. Middle schoolers hit the course for the annual Eagle Run, and high school seniors were honored before the evening’s football game.
Parents and high school students volunteered at the Eagle Run, adding a splash of color along the route. Fifth and sixth graders went first, followed by seventh and eighth graders. Students could run or walk one or two miles.
Middle school principal Mr. Tarango ran with both groups and found plenty of competition along the way. After the second race, he doubled back to make sure everyone finished, putting in more than four miles himself. The fun continued with dodgeball competitions and other games.
That evening, Hennessey High School celebrated Senior Night before kickoff, recognizing seniors in football, band, cross country and cheer. Congratulations to all the seniors for the hard work and dedication they’ve shown throughout their time as Eagles.
