The Hennessey Police Department had some very important visitors last Wednesday!
All three Hennessey Kindergarten classes took a field trip to the police station to see what happens behind the scenes. Police Chief Solis and Officer Luis Rojo welcomed the students and gave them a tour of the station, along with an up-close look at the police cars and some of the equipment officer’s use every day.
There were plenty of questions, lots of curious faces, and, of course, checking out the police cars was a big hit.
It was a fun morning for the kids and a great opportunity for Hennessey’s youngest citizens to get to know the officers who help keep their community safe.
No arrests were reported, although a few suspiciously energetic kindergarteners were seen leaving the station.
