Community members came together in a remarkable show of support during a fundraiser held in honor of Aubrey Cheney, who recently lost her courageous battle with glioblastoma.
The event featured a community cornhole tournament alongside a meal offered by donation, giving friends, family, and neighbors an opportunity to gather while supporting Aubrey’s loved ones. Fourteen teams competed in the tournament, with Garrett Snay and his partner, Emma DeBona, taking home first place. In a generous gesture, the pair donated their tournament winnings back to Aubrey’s family.
The fundraiser was made possible through the generosity of numerous volunteers and donors who contributed food, time, and financial support. Their efforts created a meaningful event that reflected the compassion and unity of the community.
Organizers extend their sincere appreciation to everyone who donated, volunteered, participated in the tournament, or simply came out to show their support. The overwhelming response served as a powerful reminder that, even in times of loss, a community can come together to provide comfort, encouragement, and hope.
