A very large tree limb came crashing down this week across W. 8th Street at the entrance to Bull Foot Park, completely blocking the roadway.
The limb was so large that the Town didn’t have equipment big enough to handle the job, so a call went out to Kingfisher County District 2 Commissioner Mike Sparks for backup. Mike answered the call by sending in the heavy equipment and crew to tackle the oversized mess.
After the County hauled away the giant limb, Town crews finished cleaning up the remaining debris and reopened the area.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported, unless you count the tree’s pride.
