This year’s Cops and Kids Day was a blast, and the Hennessey Police Department says it couldn’t have happened without the community stepping up in a big way.
“We were blown away by how generous our local businesses, organizations, and neighbors were,” said Chief Solis. “Between the bikes, goods, time, and just plain support, folks helped us put together a day full of smiles and good memories for the kids and families of Hennessey.”
A big shoutout goes to: 2 Fellas Moving Company, 4T’s Grocery Store, Angela and Mark Bruner, Certex, Choate Oil, Dana and Ron Decrow, Eagle Mart, EMS/Thurmond, First Christian Church, Fred Petrolia, the Hennessey Child Study Club, Hennessey Police Officers and their families, Luis and Antoinette Rojo, the Hennessey Powder and String Club, Hometown Market on Main, InterBank, Liberty Lift, the Lions Club, Surge, the Town of Hennessey Public Works, and Wayne Wright.
“Days like this are what it’s all about,” Chief Solis added. “It’s a great chance to build relationships with the families we serve, and I’m thankful to everyone who cares enough to make it happen. This kind of generosity is just part of what makes Hennessey such a great place to call home.”
