Students, teachers, guests, and community members recently gathered to witness a special moment in Hennessey history as a time capsule created by Hennessey Middle School in May of 2000 was officially opened.
The capsule, carefully assembled by middle school students and staff more than two decades ago, offered a unique glimpse into the past and the memories, trends, and school life of the early 2000s. Those in attendance enjoyed seeing the items preserved inside and reflecting on how much the school and community have changed over the years.
The opening created excitement and curiosity as former students, staff members, and current students explored the contents and shared stories connected to that time period. The event served as both a celebration of the past and a reminder of the lasting traditions and memories created within Hennessey Public Schools. Photos by AAH Shelley Muzny.
