Kingfisher County District 2 has announced a temporary road closure beginning Thursday, April 2, 2026, to allow for bridge repair work.
The closure will impact NS 2890, approximately 2½ miles east of the U.S. 51 and U.S. 81 junction, then 1-1/2 miles north. The affected stretch runs for one mile between EW 610 and EW 600.
Crews will be working to repair the approaches on both sides of Bridge #244. The road will remain closed throughout construction.
Motorists are reminded not to drive around barricades for any reason.
