Family and friends gathered at 132/51 Jct on January 11, 2025, to unveil The Colonel Derek Grimes Memorial Highway, the stretch of 51 highway from Lacey to 132 highway.
Following the unveiling, family and friends gathered at The Hennessey Mercantile. Stacy Cline spoke about her brother, Derek’s son, who gave a blessing, and State Representative Mike Dobrinski presented Kathleen (Derek’s wife) with State of Oklahoma Citation – Colonel Derek Ivan Grimes.
