HENNESSEY NURSING AND REHAB CELEBRATES WITH THANKSGIVING DINNER

On Thursday, November 21st, Hennessey Nursing and Rehab Center residents were treated to a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The feast featured a spread of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole, hot rolls, cranberry sauce, assorted pies, and various sides and desserts provided by the families. Jimmy Berkenbile provided tables and chairs and led everyone in prayer before the meal, while residents created beautiful centerpieces to adorn the tables. Sharon Pray’s donation of rolls from Golden Chick, Megan Choate’s loan of roasters for baking the turkeys, and Willa Hiebert playing the piano while residents dined with the help of many others made the event possible. The staff takes great pleasure in organizing these gatherings to create a festive atmosphere for the residents.

Julie Torson, said,” I’m so thankful we’re able to come together with family for a Thanksgiving celebration because that’s what we all should be grateful for…family.  I’m thankful for all of them because we’re all part of a larger family now. Hennessey is an amazing community, and I’m thankful for that.”

The center would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who contributed and donated to this wonderful event. Photos by Susan Henry
