Local 4-H students ranging from 6 to 13 years old gathered at the Hennessey Lion’s Club today, Thursday, October 17th. Their visit was to learn about the importance of community service. Tim Riddle, President of the Lion’s Club, shared insights into the various initiatives and events organized by the club for the betterment of the community, from providing eyeglasses to those in need and supporting the Community Action Team to organizing events like Mistletoe Magic, Easter Egg Hunt, and Cardboard boat races. Riddle took the opportunity to inspire and encourage these young minds to embrace their civic responsibilities as they grow older. The Lion’s Club meets every Thursday at noon at the Family Cafe. All are invited to come and eat, fellowship, and serve the community.
