Over the past few months the Hennessey Board of Trustees voted to approve the job description and compensation package for a new Director of Public Works. At tonight’s regular board meeting, Town Administrator, Tiffany Tillman introduced the new hire for this position.
Alyssa Kubat has been hired as the Director of Public Works for the town of Hennessey. She has been with the town for six years and currently heads the water department. Alyssa is dedicated to improving the town she loves. In her new role, she will oversee a wide range of responsibilities, including streets, parks, sewer, and sanitation, in addition to continuing her leadership in the water department.
Alyssa will report directly to the Town Administrator and supervise employees, oversee work activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to budget planning and policy development. She will soon obtain all three “A” certifications from the DEQ for water, wastewater, and lab, a rare accomplishment as there are only around 24 others in the state with all three “A” certifications.
Alyssa graduated from Dover Public Schools in 2016 and attended Rose State College, where she received all of her DEQ Certifications. She also holds a certified pool operator’s license and has her CPR/First aid and AED certifications.
