This past Monday, September 16, was the 72nd Annual State Fair Band Day and Parade Competition held at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.  The Pride of Hennessey, along with 63 other middle school and high school bands in Classes MS/JH and High School Classes 2A through 6A from around Oklahoma, performed in this event.  The competition events were in the following categories: Parade Band, Drum Line, Drum Major, Color Guard, Twirling, and School Mascot.  The Pride of Hennessey earned 3rd Place in Class 3A Drum Line and in Class 3A Parade Band.  This is a huge accomplishment considering that there were 26 bands in Class 3A, more than in any other class at this event.Â
