The 11th Annual Hennessey Mike Driskill Turkey Creek Classic was held today, September 14, 2024. All grades could participate, and Hennessey had an abundance of participants today. All the runners did an exceptional job and finished the race strong. Below are the following results from today’s race.
High School Boys 5K: Asher Ward 30th (20:55) and Seth Sims 32nd (21:08). 71 runners competed in the 5K.
High School Girls 3,200 Meter: Emma Copeland 7th (13:36), Jocelyn Matousek 9th (13:52), Tayler Franklin 31st (14:57), Star Torres 41st (15:46), JoHanna Matousek 49th (16:09), Marisol Valles 54th (16:28), Kate Curran 67th (17:09), and C’Anna Marin 79th (18:29). 91 runners competed in the 3,200-meter race.
Junior High Boys (7/8th grade) 2,400 Meter: Rogan Choate 12th (9:36). Rogan competed against 59 runners.
Junior High Girls (7/8th grade) 1,600 Meter: Julianne Matousek 5th (6:47), Emily Bryson 14th (7:07), Lorelei Root 35th (7:36), Faith Martinez 43rd (7:53), Chloe Kelly 65th (8:24), and Kaisley Taber 68th (8:26). 89 runners competed in the 1,600-meter race.
5th/6th Grade Boys 1,600 Meter : Dalton Scruggs 9th (7:20), Chance Morgan 23rd (8:01), Jax Beaman 34th (9:23). 46 runners competed in the 1,600-meter race.
5th/6th Grade Girls 1,600 Meter: Quinn Ward 30th (8:25), Addisyn Hladik 34th (8:32), Dayanna Roldan 35th (8:34), Kennes Briley 36th (8:44), Kaylee Hladik 43rd (8:56), Jessica Matousek 49th (9:10), Jacee Beaman 56th (9:36), Piper Zielny 57th (9:37), Chelsea Sanders 66th (10:16), Morgan Lester 67th (10:19), Harper Streck 71st (10:47). 73 runners competed in the 1,600-meter race.
4th and Younger Boys 1,200 Meter: Nicolas Corral 1st (4:58), Luis Medrano 6th (5:09), Parker Steward 14th (5:24), Rhet Cooper 18th (5:31), Brylen Franklin 19th (5:33), Aaron Medrano 35th (6:09), Mateo Montes 38th (6:22), and Cayden Mendez 62nd (7:29). 72 runners competed in the 1,200-meter race.
4th and Younger Girls 1,200 Meter: Jaynie Bennett 1st (5:03), Anzli Cooper 18th (5:50), Joy Matousek 22nd (5:58), Dakota Hochstrasser 28th (6:16), Aspen Lott 55th (7:42), Hannah Weaver 59th (8:28), and Katie Miller 64th (9:30). 64 runners competed in the 1,200-meter race.
