Lady Eagles basketball player Emma Copeland, a Jr at Hennessey, was invited to play for America’s basketball team next summer, June 23-July 1, 2025. Emma is the daughter of Lacey and Levi Copeland.
Emma has played on Enid’s Legacy Youth Basketball team for 2 summers under Coach Josh Moulder. Legacy Youth Basketball is a youth prep organization focused on building young men and women into quality young adults, with a focus on physical development, sportsmanship, and respect.
Emma was invited because she is on one or more coaches’ recruiting radars. They look for good athletes who can play multiple positions and mix and match lineups. They like to keep the rosters small to ensure all players get a lot of playing time.
Emma’s invitation to America’s Team is not just about basketball. It’s an opportunity for her to experience a new country, its people, and culture, all while playing the sport she loves. Led by college coaches, these teams provide a unique platform for athletes to showcase their skills on an international stage.
