New construction, repairs, and additions to several commercial buildings in Hennessey are underway. The Hennessey First Baptist Church is installing a new roof on their school building that was blown off last fall when a storm with 90 mph winds swept through northern Kingfisher County.
The Hennessey Schools Bus Barn located on E. Hwy 51 is doubling in size. This addition creates a place to get all of the buses under a roof and protect them from the weather. This larger transportation building will also feature a wash bay and offices. The addition is being built on the west side of the existing building
Just north of town on Hwy 81 (North of Casey’s) will be the new home for Gregory Tire & Oil. This is located on Scott Hajek’s commercial site along the highway and is being constructed by Ladwig Construction. The building is expected to be completed sometime in March.
