Hennessey Police and Fire responded to a collision with injuries at the intersection of Hwy 51 and N. Mitchell Road on Monday, November 6th at approximately 7:30 am. According to the police report, the 2004 Chevy pickup driven by Alfred Davis of Hennessey was traveling north on Mitchell Rd, when it was struck broadside in the intersection by Andres Benavides of Port Arthur, Texas who was traveling East on Hwy 51.
Davis was pinned in the vehicle and had to be extracted by Hennessey Firefighters. 2 minor passengers (names withheld) were also in the pickup with Davis and were transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City by Kingfisher EMS with unknown injuries. Davis was transported via LifeEMS to Howdy’s Travel Plaza and then flown by AirEvac Helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with unknown injuries.
Andres Benavides was not injured and was arrested and transported by Hennessey Police to the Kingfisher County Jail for no driver’s license, no insurance, an expired tag, and speeding. Agency’s Hennessey with the scene included Kingfisher County Deputies and Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
