On October 14, 2023, sky watchers around the world were treated to a breathtaking solar eclipse. This particular eclipse was a total solar eclipse, which occurs when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking out the Sun’s light and casting a shadow on the Earth’s surface. What made this eclipse even more remarkable was its path: it passed through several countries, allowing millions of people to witness the awe-inspiring phenomenon.
The solar eclipse on October 14, 2023, started in the early hours of the morning and followed a trajectory from the western coast of Australia, across the Pacific Ocean, and ended near the western coast of Central America. In Oklahoma the eclipse began at 10:21 and completed at 1:23.
