EAGLES VS OCS

The 0-3 Eagles had a very tough matchup at home last Friday night against the 3-0 Oklahoma Christian Saints. The boys looked to rebound off their close loss against Hinton last week. They immediately got a defensive stop, but an errant snap gave OCS a good field position to tag on their first touchdown of the game. After a blocked punt and interception, OCS had a quick 21-0 lead. Another TD by the Saints lead to the Eagles finally cashing in on pay dirt, with a 58-yard touchdown pass from the junior tandem of Gunnar Holder to Kevin Trillo. Unfortunately, this would be the only time the Eagles would grace the green grass in the end zone. OCS played good, physical football and ran their game plan to a tea. It was 42-7 at half, and the Saints in the City tacked on 1 more 7-pointer to give us the 49-7 final score. Story by Taylor Ladwig, Photos by Jude Hestand.
