The Hennessey Water Department crew made quick work of an emergency waterline repair last Tuesday night, (September 19th) on W. 2nd St. They turned off the water town-wide at about 8 p.m. anticipating the repair to take about 2 hours but were able to restore the water to the town in about 45 minutes. For a short time, they were concerned with an approaching severe thunderstorm, but the storm dissipated after a brief shower and did not interrupt their work. West 2nd St. was narrowed to one lane for a few days after while they cleaned up the repair site.
