The Eagles football team had their annual Blue & White scrimmage Saturday, August 12. In the Orange caps are the defense, and in the normal blue helmets are the offense. The starting defense was first on the field. The defense performed well against the backup offense, keeping them at a standstill for their whole drive. When the first-team offense got on the field, they led a smooth drive finishing it off with a 20-yard touchdown pass from new QB Gunnar Holder to returning starting WR Weston Smith. As the scrimmage wrapped up, the Eagles 2nd drive saw a lot of the same, breakout runs by the new starting RB, Junior Jessin Hardin, who preceded another TD pass from Holder to Smith.
