Brandon Scott was named the new Hennessey Fire Chief today, Monday, July 3rd. The announcement came over the fire radio at about 2:45 pm today when the 911 dispatch center congratulated Scott for his new position.
Scott will be filling the position vacated by long-time Chief Bert Gritz when he resigned and retired recently. Gritz has been chief since 1978.
Scott has been a Hennessey Firefighter for 14 years and recently earned his Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT). This is a level of EMS licensure between basic and EMT and Paramedic.
