It was a tale of bravery and quick thinking last Friday, June 16th, as 11-year-old Lakin Smith became a true snake hunter when he saved the day at the town pool. As he was splashing around, he spotted a massive snake slithering towards the water.
Without missing a beat, Lakin sprang into action and caught the huge serpent before it could cause any mayhem. The lifeguards were in awe of his bravery and hailed him as a hero for his quick thinking. But Lakin wasn’t done yet – he knew this snake needed to be released back into the wild.
So Lakin let the snake go out by the softball fields. Everyone was thanful to Lakin for his snake hunting skills.
