WATER DISRUPTION

The Hennessey Public Works Department made emergency repairs to a main 6-inch waterline Saturday morning, June 3, along Hwy 81 south of town.  The torrential rains that occurred on Thursday evening caused an ODOT concrete water trough to collapse, fall and break the water line. The break was spotted when there was a 20′ geyser of water shooting out of the pipe.

The water department was able to isolate the area and water was only turned off for Hennessey customers south of Oakwood Road that included Miller Heights for about 3 hours. Water was restored at about 1 pm.
