On April 1st The Pride of Hennessey Band was awarded the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award by the OSSAA for having an overall grade point average of 3.5 or higher. The group had an overall GPA of 3.615. 5 band members have a 4.0 GPA.
The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade combined bands performed at the Seiling Music Festival and earned a unanimous Superior rating. The adjudicators were Ray Bell from Woodward, Gary Shults from Edmond, and Jim Parham from Perry. The band also had 8 soloists who performed. Their ratings are as follows:
