On Tuesday, March 7th, about 20 Hennessey business owners gathered at “The HIVE” event center for the 2nd All About Hennessey Business Network event. Rob Houston, Director of Visit Enid, spoke as the guest speaker and highlighted several things that set Hennessey apart.
Jack Quirk, founder of All About Network spoke to the group about how the All About Hennessey Facebook page alone has had over 1 million impressions in the last 28 days. Quirk said, “This is only about Hennessey and does not include the thousands we reached with our website, newspaper, and other social sites.”
Shelia Duell, owner of The HIVE spoke about how she opened her boutique, Honey & Co in a small rented space in the old LaPorte Pharmacy. She owns the building now, several years later. The HIVE has been described by Duell as a learning center in addition to an event space. A variety of classes will be offered, including baking, knitting, and quilting.
These events are open to the public and are meant to bring business owners together to network and learn about things that will help their businesses grow. The next AAH Network event is planned for July.
Food was provided by Eagle Mart, the desert by Jack Choate’s Farm Bureau Insurance, and balloons by Annie’s Flowerhouse. The HIVE is located behind Prairie Quilt at 114 E. Oklahoma St.
