Wanted: Library Director, Hennessey Public Library
Reporting to the Town Administrator, the Library Director is responsible for all aspects of library operations. We are seeking an energetic leader with prior managerial or administrative experience, with strong written and oral communication skills, experience or a desire to work with a community of all ages, and experience with various forms of technology. This position requires an understanding of the cultural and economic foundations of a rural community. Candidates will be required to have a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years of library experience, or a Level III Certification with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Wanted: Seasonal Library Assistant, Hennessey Public Library
Reporting to the Library Director, the Library Assistant’s primary responsibility will be to assist the library staff during the summer months. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with prior customer service experience, clerical skills such as typing, emailing, or answering the phone, and a desire to work with children. Other duties may include but are not limited to: checking in and out library materials, processing and shelving materials, assisting with children’s activities, as well as cleaning and organizing library spaces. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age, have great organizational skills and be able to multi task.
This position is a seasonal temporary position.

The Town of Hennessey, Oklahoma is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Must be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and no felony convictions or convictions of crimes of moral turpitude. Benefits include state pension (must pass physical), paid health insurance for the employee, vacation, and sick leave. Must be able to work shift-work, weekends, and holidays.
