The Hennessey Town Hall received three resignations last week. Two came from the library and one from public works. Library Director Lyndsey Kopsa and Children’s Librarian Jennifer Valles, the only two employees at the library, resigned on the same day. Kopsa said in her resignation letter that she had accepted a job with the Frank Carlson Library in Concordia, Kansas, where her family and parents live.
Mike Jones, former Hennessey Police officer, was reassigned to the public
Works department. Jones has been employed by Hennessey since 2018 and gave no reason for resigning.
Hennessey Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman told the Hennessey POST, “We have been trying to fill one position in the public works department for several months. Unfortunately, now we will be short three employees.”
