Hennessey Fire Fighters worked a run-away grass fire Wednesday afternoon west of Hennessey at Hwy 51 and Preacher Creek. The westerly winds drove the fire up to the N2800 blacktop where it stopped. The thick smoke from a Love Grass pasture made it difficult to see until they got it knocked down. Every time they got the fire knocked down, it would flair back up. The fire started about 3:30 and the fire fighters left the scene about 5:30pm
