HENNESSEY STORM DAMAGE

The cold front that moved over Hennessey about 4:30 on Friday the 10th targeted one home at 700 S Cimarron St.  Homeowner Jennifer Ulery was at the library and her daughter Laura called saying, “I think there was a tornado.”  3 large trees were broken off, the storm shelter door blew open and other heavy items were scattered around the yard.  There was damage in Enid about this same time but, it appeared that this was the only significant damage in Hennessey.  The National Weather Service in Norman issued a wind advisory on Friday morning stating that gusts of 50 mph could be expected.
