The Hennessey Golden Eagles took their first bus tour to the beautiful light displays in Chickasha & Kingfisher on Dec 7. Kudos to the Dover Christian Church for use of their bus and driver, Jimmy Berkenbile for making it possible. Arrangements were made by Tammy Patocka for all to enjoy a meal at Jake’s Rib in Chickasha. We were aww struck when our meals were served due to the giant servings which brought on much laughter. Needless to say, we brought home to go boxes filled.
The weather was pleasant to be out taking in the sights of colorful displays. One that was real eye catching was a big Ferris type wheel that kept changing colors. The lights remind us that Jesus is the Light of the World and helped us get into the Spirit of Christmas, “The Reason for The Season”.
Golden Eagles was organized for adults who have lost their spouse, or are single and in need of fellowship. Our next meeting will be Dec 21st at 9:30 a.m. in the back room of Family Café with each bringing a wrapped Christmas ornament.
