The forecast didn’t look good Thursday morning, but the parade went off without a hitch. One of the spectators said, “This is the biggest one in years!” There was a big turnout even with the conflicting circus schedule. Jimmy Berkenbile was the MC as the dozens of cars & trucks carrying the Football team, cheerleaders, Homecoming contestants and many others, paraded down Main St. After the parade everyone headed over to the football field for the bonfire, but due to heavy rain that morning the fire never really got going.
