TRAIN VS CAR NORTH OF HENNESSEY

Shortly before 2 pm on Sunday, June 6 a southbound Union Pacific train struck an east bound car near the intersection of N2865 & E610 road about 1 mile north of Hennessey.   The train caught the right rear of the car and spun it off into a wheat field and came to rest near the tracks. 

According to the Hennessey Fire department the female driver was disorientated and awake at the scene.  She was transported to an Enid hospital by LIFE EMS.   The driver also had 2 dogs with her, a Kingfisher County Sheriff Deputy took to his car.  The dogs appeared to be uninjured.   Hennessey Fire Fighters had to gather the contents of the car that was scattered throughout the wheat field. 

As of now, no details are available about the driver’s name or condition.  Hennessey Police, Fire, Kingfisher Sheriff dept., OHP and Life Ems were on location working the scene.
