A month or so ago a family of ducks moved into the flooded field on East Conoco (E640) Road between Hwy 51 and Mitchell Rd. They soon had 6 baby ducklings and were growing up quickly until this week. The ducks sleep in the grass next to the road and recently someone ran over 4 of them. Tyler Scruggs, owner of DTR Fab that lives nearby said, “I’d take the boys by there and the ducks were really close to the road. I figured I’d make a sign to try to protect the ducks.” So if you are traveling along Conoco Road, check out the ducks, but be careful not to hit any of them.
